ingredients
method
  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (fan forced). Peel and dice the apple, and grate the carrot.
  2. Place the diced apple in the KiddoKook Pro steamer basket and steam for 10 minutes, until soft.
  3. In a bowl, combine the self-raising flour and cinnamon. In a separate bowl, beat the egg, then add the milk, grated carrot, chia seeds, melted butter, and optional honey if using (only for babies of more than a year old). Stir well to combine.
  4. Slowly add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring between each addition until just combined. Gently fold in the steamed apple.
  5. Spoon the mixture evenly into your PureePops Tray or any mini muffin tray. This recipe makes about 9 mini muffins. Bake for 12 minutes, or until golden brown.
  6. Let the muffins sit for a few minutes before removing them from the moulds. Serve warm or cold. Perfect for little hands!
