ingredients
method
  1. To prep the avocado, cut in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into the KiddoKook Pro blending container.
  2. For a runny purée, add 1–2 tablespoons of water or breast milk.
  3. Select Auto Blend and blend until smooth and creamy. For older babies, use the Pulse function to leave a chunkier texture.
  4. Serve immediately or refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 24 hours. You can also freeze small portions for later and thaw before serving.
storage guide

Best served fresh. Avocado browns quickly once exposed to air.

To store, refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 24 hours. Placing plastic wrap directly on the surface of the purée can help slow browning.

Freeze small portions in containers or in a baby food tray (like the PureePops Tray) for up to 1 month.

Thaw overnight in the fridge before serving. Only thaw what baby can eat for the day.

benefits

✓ Rich in healthy fats that support brain and nervous-system development.

✓ Provides vitamins C, E, and K for immune and cell health.

✓ Soft, mild, and easy to digest. Ideal for first-time feeders.

✓ Creamy texture helps babies practice mouth movements for future self-feeding.

tips

Choose ripe avocados: Underripe avocados won’t blend well. To test ripeness, the fruit should yield slightly to gentle pressure.

Mix it up: Combine with banana, pear, or yoghurt once your baby is ready for flavour combinations.

Storage tip: Freezing in single-serve portions makes easy, ready-to-use meals on busy days.

Slow down browning: Mix in a few drops of lemon juice (only if your baby has already tried citrus).
