Veggie Bolognaise Sauce

This family classic gets a wholesome, veggie-packed twist! Pumpkin, spinach, and cherry tomatoes blend into a smooth sauce that works for both little ones and grown-ups alike. Make it with or without meat for an easy, freezer-friendly meal made in the KiddoKook Pro.

  1. Add pumpkin to the KiddoKook Pro steamer basket and steam for 15 minutes, until soft and tender.
  2. In a frypan, heat a little olive oil and sauté the garlic until fragrant. Add cherry tomatoes and cook until softened and slightly reduced.
  3. Transfer the steamed pumpkin to the blender basket, reserving half of the leftover steaming water. Add the tomato mixture and spinach. Select Auto Blend and blend until smooth.
  4. Stir the sauce through cooked beef mince (if using) and mix with your favourite pasta. Serve immediately or freeze extra portions. Makes around 4 serves of sauce.
